You’ve now used Google.com to help you compile a list of
the top forums in your niche and have them saved to a text file for easy access.
Now it’s time for the simple 5 phase system to generating clicks to your links
using this list.
Phase 1 – Introduce Yourself
You want to introduce yourself to each of the forums that you plan on taking
part in and you want to do this in a completely non-promotional type of way.
This means no link in your post, no talk about products and no “hypey” stuff of
any kind. You want to introduce yourself as a person who is interested in the
topic at hand and offer to help people with their questions. Think of this as
your first impression. |
Phase 2 – Your Sig File
If you don’t know what a sig file is, it’s simply a short,
3-5 line ad that explains a targeted offer and links to your
Clickbank hop link. In most forums you are allowed to post
this at the end of your posts under your name.
Phase 3 – Answer Some Questions And Help People
Next, start answering questions and helping people in the
forum. If you find a question you can answer make sure to
answer it and post your sig file at the end. As a side note,
make sure your responses aren’t shorter than your sig file
or you just look like your trying to promote something
rather than assist a forum member.
Make sure to answer as many questions as you can on the
active forums because this means that your sig file is going
to get seen much more and get many more clicks.
Phase 4 – Contribute With Every Post
This is more of a tip to keep in mind rather than a phase
but it’s important which is why it’s been included.
You want to make sure that each time you post on the form
that you are truly contributing to the community. If you are
offering a one line response to someone’s post, this is
hardly something that contributes. There’s no reason that
you can’t write out a paragraph or two in every response or
more.
Take the time to really help people and you will be noticed
and it will pay off in big Clickbank commission checks!
Phase 5 – Position Yourself As An Expert
No matter what you do, you want to position yourself as an
expert. When someone posts a question and it looks like no
one knows the answer, this is your opportunity to look like
the guy who really knows what he’s doing.
Even if you don’t know the answer, do a Google.com search or
an Ask.com search; find the answer and type up a personal
response. This effort will give you huge edge over all other
experts on the forum and people will gladly click your links
and be more open to buying your recommendations since you
are an expert in the field!
